Ecological Urbanism in Old Industrial Valleys

Third Session of the Seminar Cycle « Ecological Urbanism »

The session will inaugurate the exhibition of the URBA17 studio of LOCI UCL. From February to May, students coming from multiple disciplinary and geographic origins explored Brussels and Montreal’s former industrial canal zones, through the angle of “Living and working metropolitan areas”.
Livia de Bethune, academic and practitioner (KUL & Multiple architecture and urbanism), will give a lecture about her ongoing works in the Woluwe valley in Brussels, where the rehabilitation of the river acts as the driver of a large qualitative densification program.
